On Sunday, a significant clean-up campaign commenced in Al-Khawkhah, a city located in the southern part of Al-Hudaydah Governorate. This initiative aims to enhance the city’s overall appearance in preparation for the upcoming Eid al-Adha celebrations.
The campaign was launched under the supervision of Salem Alyan, the Director General of Al-Khawkhah District. The clean-up effort specifically targeted the city’s entrances, streets, and several displacement camps, addressing areas that require immediate attention.
Alyan emphasized the critical role of this campaign in removing garbage and waste from the district, which has a high population density. He noted that these efforts significantly contribute to promoting cleanliness and creating a healthy, safe environment for residents.
Wahab Allah Ibrahim, the director of the organization “We Have the Right to Live,” which is implementing the campaign with support from the Tehama Union, explained that the clean-up and awareness initiative will last for two days. The campaign seeks to improve the city’s aesthetic appeal and foster a culture of cleanliness among residents in anticipation of Eid al-Adha.
This clean-up campaign reflects the commitment of local authorities and community organizations to enhance public health and beautify Al-Khawkhah. As Eid al-Adha approaches, these efforts will not only prepare the city for celebrations but also instill a lasting sense of responsibility towards cleanliness among its citizens.
