In Sayoun, located in the Hadhramaut Governorate, maintenance and rehabilitation work continues on several internal streets. This initiative receives funding from the Road Maintenance Fund and aims to enhance the road network, improve infrastructure efficiency, and promote traffic safety.
Mohammed Abdul Rahim Atiq, the Director of the Public Works and Roads Office in the Wadi Hadhramaut, explained that the work includes filling potholes and addressing surface damage in the asphalt layers. The project involves removing damaged sections and directly repaving them, which contributes to improving road quality and maintaining smooth traffic flow.
Atiq noted that the project follows an engineering plan based on a study of the targeted locations and an assessment of their technical condition. The implementation mechanisms ensure quick completion while minimizing the impact on vehicle movement and reducing traffic congestion during maintenance activities.
Atiq emphasized that these efforts aim to enhance the quality of internal streets in Sayoun and improve the services provided to citizens.
