Joint forces organize a free flight to transport students and patients from Socotra to Al-Rayyan Airport.

Joint Forces Facilitate Free Air Travel for Socotra's Students and Patients

In a significant move to support education and healthcare, the joint forces organized a complimentary air transfer for 60 students and several patients from Socotra to Al-Rayyan International Airport in Hadhramaut. This initiative, taking place on Tuesday, aims to ease the transition for students from Socotra as they head back to their respective universities and institutes across various provinces for the upcoming 2024-2025 academic year.

Easing the Burden of Travel

This flight is part of the joint forces’ continued efforts to alleviate the financial and logistical burdens of travel for Socotra’s residents, ensuring students can resume their studies without delay. By facilitating their journey at the start of the new school year, the initiative underscores a commitment to education and the well-being of Socotra’s youth.

Appreciation for Saudi Support

Saleh Ali, the Deputy Governor of Socotra, expressed deep gratitude towards the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia – its leadership, government, and people – for their unwavering support across various sectors, including education and healthcare. This gesture of organizing free flights for students and patients highlights the collaborative efforts between the Saudi leadership and Socotra’s local authorities. Ali particularly praised the leadership of the joint forces and the Support and Reinforcement Forces in Socotra for their role in coordinating and executing the flight.

A Commitment to Socotra’s Future

This initiative not only reflects the joint forces’ dedication to reducing the challenges faced by Socotra’s residents but also showcases the broader support from the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia. By ensuring students and patients can travel freely and safely, these efforts contribute significantly to the educational advancement and healthcare access in the region, marking a positive step towards Socotra’s development and prosperity.
