International Condemnation of Houthi Crimes Against Residents of Hanak Al-Masoud Village

The international community continues to express outrage over the crimes committed by Houthi militias against the residents of Hanak Al-Masoud village in Qifah, Al-Bayda province.

U.S., France, and Britain Denounce Houthi Actions

The United States, France, and Britain have condemned the actions of the Iranian-backed Houthi militias. These actions include the targeting of civilians in Hanak Al-Masoud, resulting in numerous casualties among civilians and detainees. Reports indicate widespread looting and the destruction of homes and properties in the village.

The U.S. Embassy issued a strong statement denouncing the Houthi attacks on innocent civilians in Al-Bayda. They emphasized that the killings, injuries, and unlawful detentions perpetrated by the Houthis rob the Yemeni people of peace and a bright future.

Similarly, the British Embassy in Yemen condemned the horrific attacks carried out by Houthi militias against innocent civilians. They called for an immediate halt to these assaults, including the ongoing arrests of innocent individuals.

The French Embassy also voiced its strong condemnation of the recent Houthi attacks in Hanak Al-Masoud. They highlighted the arbitrary arrests carried out in recent weeks and asserted that such crimes against the Yemeni people are unacceptable. The embassy stressed that Yemenis deserve to live in peace and security.

Local Outrage and Calls for Action

The brutality of these crimes has sparked widespread outrage within Yemen. Many activists and politicians argue that the Houthi actions in Hanak Al-Masoud expose the false claims made by the militia regarding their support for the Palestinian cause. They contend that while the Houthis profess solidarity with Palestine, they simultaneously commit heinous acts against their fellow Yemenis, akin to the practices of Israeli occupation.

Activists pointed out that the Houthis use slogans supporting Palestine as a smokescreen to mislead public opinion. In reality, their systematic targeting of civilians in Yemen—including killings, arrests, and property destruction—contradicts their purported values.

A Call for International and Local Action

Yemenis view these crimes as a reflection of the true nature of the Houthi militias, which continue to pursue agendas that serve external interests at the expense of the Yemeni people. There is a growing call for decisive international and local action to deter these violations and protect civilians from further harm.

In conclusion, the international community’s condemnation of the Houthi militias underscores a collective demand for accountability and justice for the victims in Hanak Al-Masoud and beyond.
