Boosting Airport Security & Safety Efforts: Yemen's Plan

Interior Minister Major General Ibrahim Ali Haydan emphasized the importance of intensifying joint efforts to enhance security and safety and develop infrastructure at ports and airports. During a meeting today in the temporary capital, Aden, with the President of the General Authority for Civil Aviation and Meteorology, Captain Saleh bin Nahid, the Interior Minister reiterated the ministry’s commitment to the safety and security of travelers and to facilitating travel procedures through training and qualification of airport security personnel, developing work mechanisms, and issuing electronic visas.

The meeting, attended by the Deputy Minister of the Interior for Security and Police Affairs, Major General Mohammed Al-Amir, discussed several issues related to enhancing security and safety at airports.

Bin Nahid reviewed plans and programs aimed at developing the civil aviation sector and improving weather forecasting services.
