The Indian Ministry of External Affairs has issued a strong condemnation of the recent drone attack on Fujairah, United Arab Emirates, which left three Indian nationals injured. The ministry described the assault as “unacceptable” and called for an immediate halt to all military actions that target civilian infrastructure.
The incident took place in the Fujairah Oil Industry Zone (FOIZ) and involved the deployment of a drone. Authorities in the UAE have confirmed that the attack was orchestrated by Iran, further escalating tensions in the region. The assault triggered a fire in a critical area of the oil sector and resulted in three individuals sustaining moderate injuries. Emergency services promptly transported the injured parties to a nearby hospital for medical treatment.
In the wake of the attack, the UAE government issued alerts through mobile notifications in Dubai and Abu Dhabi, warning residents of potential missile strikes. The UAE Ministry of Defense reported that its air defenses successfully intercepted 12 ballistic missiles, three cruise missiles, and four drones during the recent Iranian assaults, which ultimately resulted in injuries to three individuals.
The attack on Fujairah has drawn widespread international condemnation, with numerous countries expressing their concern over the escalating violence in the region. India, which has significant interests in the Gulf, emphasized the urgent need to maintain security and stability. The Indian government reiterated the importance of respecting national sovereignty and called for an end to all hostile actions.
