On Sunday evening, Houthi militias launched attacks on populated areas in the Al Hudaydah and Taiz governorates. This incident adds to a troubling pattern of violations against civilians in liberated regions and those near the front lines.
Local sources reported that the militias conducted artillery shelling in densely populated areas of Northern Hays, located in southern Al Hudaydah. This bombardment caused significant damage to civilian property and resulted in the death of several livestock. Residents expressed their fear and anxiety, particularly among women and children, due to the Houthi shelling.
In Taiz, local sources confirmed that Houthi militias executed a similar attack targeting residential villages in the Al Sayahi area, west of the city. This assault instilled widespread panic and fear among the local population.
These recent attacks represent a continuation of systematic and ongoing Houthi aggression against neighborhoods and villages in liberated areas and those close to conflict zones. Such actions constitute a blatant violation of humanitarian laws and pose a direct threat to civilian lives.
