Eyewitness accounts confirm that a man named Samir Ghanem was killed, while another individual sustained injuries from gunfire directed by a suspect identified as Diaa Mahdi. The assailant fled the scene immediately after the attack.

Allegations of Corruption and Collusion

According to multiple sources, a Houthi-appointed security chief in Dhay Sufal orchestrated the release of the assailant from the militia-controlled Ibb prison approximately two months ago. This release appears to be part of a dubious arrangement, allowing the suspect to be transferred to the security office in Al-Qaidah. Following this transfer, the suspect escaped alongside others just a day later.
