French authorities suspect that a train derailment in the northwest of the country, which injured 44 people, may have resulted from sabotage, according to a police source on Saturday.
The source indicated that police discovered a piece of railway track placed on the line, leading investigators to prioritize the sabotage theory, as reported by Agence France-Presse.
The train, carrying 186 passengers, was traveling between the cities of Rouen and Caen in the Normandy region when it derailed at 7:45 PM on Friday.
