EU Ambassador Highlights Cultural Diversity in Taiz

During a recent press conference in Taiz, Patrick Simonnet, the European Union Ambassador to Yemen, praised the province for its exceptional cultural and political diversity. He emphasized that Taiz stands out due to its vibrant community engagement and historical significance, which exemplifies effective collaboration among various social groups.

Commitment to Peace and Recovery

Ambassador Simonnet expressed admiration for the lively interactions and the prevailing spirit of dialogue within Taiz. He noted a clear inclination towards peace, recovery, and development among the local population. His visit included meetings with local authorities, political parties, district managers, civil society organizations, and displaced communities, providing him with valuable insights into the region’s needs and aspirations.

EU Support for Development Initiatives
