Dr. Abdullah Al-Alimi, a member of the Presidential Leadership Council, attended the London 2026 Conference today. His participation followed an invitation from the Royal Institute of International Affairs, known as Chatham House. The event attracted a distinguished international audience, including senior officials, decision-makers, and political and economic leaders from around the globe.

Keynote Addresses and Notable Attendees

The conference featured a keynote speech by UK Deputy Prime Minister David Lammy and remarks from Lord Richard Heaton, the Attorney General for England and Wales. Among the attendees were former British Prime Minister Theresa May, UK Foreign Secretary Yvette Cooper, and numerous high-ranking government officials, diplomats, former heads of state, and leaders from international organizations and the business sector.

A Platform for Global Dialogue

The London Conference, now in its eleventh edition, serves as a prominent platform for discussing significant geopolitical and economic transformations. Over 800 policymakers, business leaders, and civil society experts from more than 70 countries participated, alongside more than 60 speakers from various international leadership and expertise backgrounds.

The conference agenda included a series of main sessions and specialized dialogues addressing rapid changes in the international system. Key topics included the future of security and international alliances, the rule of international law, global economic and trade challenges, and the role of regional and international powers in shaping the global order.
