Council member Tariq Saleh emphasizes unity of fronts and goals within the framework of legitimacy.

Meeting with Tribal Leaders in Al-Bayda

Today, Tariq Saleh, a member of the Presidential Leadership Council, met with tribal leaders, dignitaries, and notable figures from Al-Bayda Governorate. This gathering took place during a tribal meeting hosted in the city of Al-Mokha.

A Message of Solidarity

During the meeting, which included the presence of Al-Bayda Governor Major General Nasser Al-Khadr Al-Sawadi, Saleh conveyed greetings from the President of the Leadership Council and its members to all attendees and the people of Al-Bayda. He emphasized that Al-Bayda holds a special place in the hearts of all Yemenis due to its proud history of resistance against the Imamate, which has harbored deep-seated animosity towards the governorate throughout history.

A Legacy of Resistance

Saleh noted that the people of Al-Bayda have fought continuous battles against the Imamate for over a century, driven by a republican spirit. This longstanding struggle prompted the Houthi militias to target Al-Bayda after seizing control of Sana’a, motivated by a desire for revenge and historical grievances.

Highlighting Houthi Atrocities

He pointed out the crimes committed by the Houthis in the Al-Hafrah neighborhood of Rad’a and in the regions of Khubza, Al-Masoud, Al-Hamiqan, Al-Awad, Al-Zahir, and others. Saleh described these actions as indicative of the militia’s aggressive and vengeful nature towards Al-Bayda.

Drawing Parallels with Global Conflicts

Saleh stated, “What Al-Bayda has endured at the hands of the Houthis mirrors the crimes committed by the Israeli occupation in Gaza. The aggressive behavior is strikingly similar.” He criticized the Houthis for claiming to support Gaza while perpetrating similar atrocities in Yemen.

Honoring National Heroes

The council member praised the historical and national figures from Al-Bayda who resisted the Imamate and contributed to breaking the siege of the 1970s. He highlighted the contributions of heroes such as Ahmed Abdul-Rab Al-Awdhi, Salem Al-Hamiqani, and Ahmed Al-Dhahab, asserting that the tribes of Al-Bayda have always stood as a bastion of the republic, defending against the Imamate project.

The Pursuit of Stability and Justice

Saleh reiterated, “The republic represents the hope of every Yemeni and the source of security and stability. True stability will only be achieved through its restoration.” He stressed that the current conflict is not sectarian or vengeful but aims to restore the state, freedom, and equality under the rule of law.

Reassuring the People

He urged the people in Houthi-controlled areas and those misled by the militia’s project to understand that the Yemeni struggle is not about settling scores. Instead, it focuses on restoring the republic and building a just state.

A Call to Action for Al-Bayda

Saleh expressed confidence that Al-Bayda is on the brink of liberation and will be among the first governorates to reject the Houthi project when the battle begins. He noted that the people of Al-Bayda are currently fighting with a republican spirit on various fronts.

Commitment to Support

The council member pledged to support the people of Al-Bayda in organizing their ranks against the militia. He announced that humanitarian efforts would focus on assisting Al-Bayda, similar to support provided to other governorates.

Humanitarian Aid Initiatives

Saleh directed the humanitarian task force to provide additional support to families of Houthi crime victims in Al-Masoud and instructed the medical services department to continue monitoring the conditions of the injured and provide necessary assistance.

Gratitude for Ongoing Support

In response, Governor Al-Sawadi and attendees expressed their appreciation for the support provided by Tariq Saleh to the people of Al-Bayda. They commended his commitment to standing by Al-Bayda and addressing the needs and aspirations of its residents.
