On Monday, Tarik Saleh, a member of the Presidential Leadership Council, met with Dr. Ahmed Al-Rubasi, the Vice President of Taiz University and head of its branch in Al-Turbah. The meeting aimed to assess the current state of educational operations within the branch’s colleges.
During the meeting, Dr. Al-Rubasi provided a comprehensive overview of the branch’s situation. He highlighted the ongoing challenges affecting the educational process, including difficulties faced by both academic staff and students. This discussion underscored the urgent need for support and resources to enhance the learning environment.
Dr. Al-Rubasi praised Tarik Saleh for his dedication and responsibility in supporting the university branch. He acknowledged Saleh’s prompt response to the branch’s needs, which plays a crucial role in improving educational quality and outcomes.
In response to the challenges presented, Tarik Saleh directed the humanitarian cell to implement a comprehensive solar energy project to power the branch. Additionally, he called for the establishment of a modern computer lab to support students and enhance their academic and research capabilities.
The university branch includes several key faculties: the College of Medical and Health Sciences, the College of Management and Information Systems, the College of Computing and Information Technology (with departments in Information Technology and Cybersecurity), the College of Education and Arts, and the Community Service and Continuing Education Center. These programs aim to equip students with the skills necessary for success in their respective fields.
This proactive engagement from leadership highlights a commitment to fostering a robust educational framework that meets the needs of students and faculty alike.
