HADRAMOUT, Yemen – Salem Ahmed Al-Khanbashi, a member of the Presidential Leadership Council and Governor of Hadramout, stressed the importance of adhering to the current procurement and bidding laws. He highlighted the need for compliance with the executive regulations and related guidelines to ensure fairness and equality among all competitors when launching projects.
During a comprehensive meeting of the procurement committee today, Al-Khanbashi, accompanied by Hadramout Deputy Governor Hassan Al-Jailani and committee members, reaffirmed the local authority’s commitment to safeguarding public funds. He emphasized the necessity of protecting state properties and assets while combating corruption and favoritism. Al-Khanbashi called for the establishment of principles of integrity, transparency, and accountability.
The meeting focused on the progress of procurement activities and various service and development projects. The committee approved additional work for the fencing and servicing of the public square at the Technical Institute in Al-Shahr. Additionally, they referred the project for constructing service annexes for the Industrial College in Mukalla to the relevant technical committee for review and necessary feedback.
This meeting aligns with the local authority’s efforts to strengthen oversight on project implementation. It aims to enhance institutional performance and ensure that resources are directed toward developmental projects that meet citizens’ needs and improve service levels in the province.
