Sheikh Othman Majali Offers Condolences for the Passing of Brigadier General Fadl Jwas

Sheikh Othman Majali, a member of the Presidential Leadership Council, extended heartfelt condolences to Colonel Munir Mathna Jwas and his brothers, Maeen and Abdul Moneim Fadl Jwas. He also expressed his sympathies to Brigadier General Wadah Thabit Jwas, Colonel Saeed Saleh Jwas, and Sheikh Sami Jwas. This message came in light of the recent passing of Brigadier General Fadl Mathna Jwas, who died today in the temporary capital of Aden after battling a severe illness.
Acknowledging a Distinguished Career
In his condolence message, Majali emphasized the significant contributions of Brigadier General Fadl Jwas. He recognized Jwas as one of the finest officers in the Air Defense Forces, who dedicated himself to protecting state institutions and upholding military honor. After graduating from the Russian Federation, Jwas held various key positions, including Commander of the Volga Air Defense Missiles and Commander of the First Volga Missile Battalion in Shabwa. He also served as the Training Officer for the 140th Air Defense Brigade.
A National Loss
Majali described the death of Brigadier General Jwas as a profound national loss. He highlighted Jwas’s courageous participation in the fight against Houthi militias since March 2015, particularly in the battles of Al-Anad, Kharj, and other fronts. Jwas was the brother of the late Brigadier General Thabit Mathna Jwas, a military leader known for his resilience against the Houthi forces in Saada, where he inflicted significant defeats on them, including the death of the Houthi leader Hussein Badr al-Din al-Houthi.
Final Thoughts and Prayers
In closing his message, Majali prayed for the soul of the deceased, asking the Almighty to grant him mercy and place him in paradise. He also expressed his hopes for patience and solace for Jwas’s family, the Jwas clan in Lahij, and the people of Yemen during this difficult time. “Indeed, we belong to Allah, and indeed, to Him we shall return,” he concluded.
