Member of the Presidential Leadership Council, Tariq Saleh, has condemned the recent abductions carried out by the Houthi militia against citizens in an effort to suppress celebrations marking the 26th of September Revolution. Saleh emphasized that these actions reveal the militia’s deep-seated fears and their true nature, which opposes the principles of the republic.
During the inauguration of three educational complexes along the western coast of Yemen, Saleh stated, “The Revolution of September 26 has brought significant transformations for the Yemeni people.” He assured the public that they would not return to the oppressive rule of the Imamate. This revolution symbolizes a pivotal moment in Yemen’s history, marking a shift towards a more democratic governance structure.
Saleh highlighted the ongoing battle to restore the state and uphold the ideals of the republic. He accused the Houthi militia of attempting to shift the conflict in Yemen into a sectarian struggle, aligning with Khomeini’s vision. Furthermore, he revealed that the Houthis have pressured political factions to issue statements against the celebration of the September 26 Revolution.
Today, the city of Al-Mokha witnessed the opening of three educational complexes located in Al-Mokha (Taiz Governorate), and Al-Khokha and Hays (Al-Hudaydah Governorate). This initiative, supported by the United Arab Emirates, underscores the commitment to education and development in the region, despite the challenges posed by the ongoing conflict.
Tariq Saleh’s statements reflect a broader call for unity among the Yemeni people in the face of adversity. As Yemen approaches the anniversary of the revolution, leaders urge citizens to stand firm against attempts to undermine their hard-won freedoms and rights.
