Presidential Leadership Member Visits Al-Dabba Oil Port

Inspection of Operations at Al-Dabba Oil Port

Today, Major General Faraj Al-Bahsani, a member of the Presidential Leadership Council, visited the Al-Dabba oil export port and the Masila Exploration and Production Company (Petromasila). His visit aimed to assess the current conditions of the port and the ongoing operations.

During the visit, Al-Bahsani received detailed explanations from the port officials and Petromasila representatives about the port’s status. They highlighted the significant challenges and difficulties they face. In response, Al-Bahsani directed the resumption of diesel supplies to the Al-Dabba oil port. This measure aims to ensure a continuous electricity supply.

Addressing Oil Smuggling and Illegal Practices

Al-Bahsani also emphasized the need for legal actions against violations related to oil smuggling and theft. He assured that all individuals involved in the illegal appropriation and trafficking of sovereign resources would face accountability.

Commendation for Security Forces

While visiting the Al-Salb checkpoint, which is part of the Quartz Battalion in the Al-Dabba axis, Al-Bahsani praised the vigilance and readiness of the checkpoint’s leadership and personnel. Their efforts led to the successful interception of a diesel smuggling operation.

Details of the Smuggling Operation

Al-Bahsani listened to a brief overview from Colonel Majid Al-Oubthani, the commander of the Al-Dabba axis, and the checkpoint commander regarding the seizure of a cement tanker. This tanker was repurposed for smuggling diesel. Investigations revealed that the upper part of the tanker contained cement, while the lower section housed a tank filled with diesel.

Legal Actions Against Smugglers

The Presidential Leadership Council member reiterated the importance of taking necessary legal actions against all violators involved in the smuggling operation. He stressed that authorities should not show leniency or tolerance towards these offenders in any form.

This visit underscores the commitment of the Presidential Leadership Council to uphold the rule of law and protect national resources from illegal activities.
