Diplomatic Meeting in Aden: Strengthening Yemen-Japan Relations

On Wednesday, Abdulrahman Al-Mahrami, a member of the Presidential Leadership Council, met with Yuichi Nakashima, the Japanese Ambassador to Yemen, in the temporary capital of Aden. The two officials discussed several issues of mutual interest and explored ways to enhance bilateral relations between Yemen and Japan across various sectors.

Enhancing Coordination and Consultation

During the meeting, Al-Mahrami emphasized the importance of improving coordination and consultation between Yemen and Japan in international forums. He highlighted that such collaboration would serve their shared interests and contribute to achieving security and stability in the region.

Acknowledging Japan’s Support

Al-Mahrami praised the ongoing support provided by the Japanese government to Yemen in developmental and humanitarian areas. He stressed the need to strengthen this cooperation to benefit both nations and their citizens.

The member of the Presidential Leadership Council also reviewed the latest developments in Yemen, focusing on efforts to establish peace and end the ongoing conflict. He underscored the significance of international support in these endeavors.

In response, Ambassador Nakashima reaffirmed Japan’s commitment to supporting Yemen during this critical phase. Nakashima expressed appreciation for the Council’s efforts to enhance security and improve living conditions for Yemeni citizens.
