Fierce clashes erupted today in the Hayfan district of southern Taiz Governorate, as armed forces engaged with Houthi militia backed by the Iranian regime. This confrontation coincided with airstrikes targeting Houthi positions.
A military source reported that artillery fire concentrated around the Al-Manzara hill, directed towards Mount Al-Mamshah. Meanwhile, the armed forces conducted several airstrikes, hitting Houthi positions and gatherings in the regions of Al-Mamshah, Al-Ahkoum, Al-Iraym, Al-Qubayta, Al-Rahda, and Karash. These operations resulted in significant losses for the militia in both personnel and equipment.
The source further indicated that the Houthi militia deployed reinforcements to various locations, including Al-Akbosh School, Al-Zubayra Market, Al-Ahkoum Junction, Al-Houd Hill, and the sites of Al-Khazja and Al-Abous, as well as Al-Manzara Hill. The fighting continues, with no signs of de-escalation.
