In a significant move towards enhancing the judicial infrastructure in Aden, the temporary capital, the Chief Justice of the Supreme Judicial Council, Mohsen Yahya Talib, convened a meeting today with the Minister of State and Governor of Aden, Ahmed Hamed Lamlas, and members of the State Property and Land Authority. The primary agenda was to explore the feasibility of allocating land for a comprehensive judicial complex in the city.
The meeting, attended by notable figures including the President of the Supreme Court, Judge Dr. Ali Al-Awash, the Secretary-General of the Council, Judge Dr. Ali Atboush, and Council member Judge Sabah Al-Alwani, emphasized the need for a strategic location. Such a site would not only improve the judicial authority’s infrastructure but also streamline the litigation process, ultimately serving the citizens more effectively.
Commendations and Commitments
Chief Justice Mohsen Yahya Talib lauded the local authority’s efforts in facilitating vital projects that improve the functioning of judicial institutions. The meeting concluded with an agreement to form a joint committee comprising representatives from the Supreme Judicial Council, the Aden Governorate, and the State Property and Land Authority. This committee will oversee the execution procedures and provide necessary progress reports.
