An engineering team from the Roads and Bridges Maintenance Fund has begun a field assessment to conduct a technical study and structural evaluation of the international road stretching from Al-‘Ain to Al-Suqya in Lahij Governorate. This initiative aims to prepare for upcoming maintenance and rehabilitation work.
The primary goal of this field visit is to compile a comprehensive study that identifies damages and proposes suitable technical solutions. The project will address pothole repairs and rehabilitate affected sections, including resurfacing approximately 135,000 square meters of roadway.
This project reflects the commitment of Council Member Major General Mahmoud Al-Sabihi and the Ministry of Public Works and Roads to enhance the road network and improve its efficiency. These efforts will facilitate the movement of citizens and goods, promote traffic safety, and ensure the sustainability of this vital road connecting various governorates.
