The Aden Police, through its Drug Enforcement Administration, successfully apprehended a drug dealer in the Cairo area. Authorities caught the suspect in the act, possessing a quantity of hashish that he intended to distribute.
Major Mias Al-Jadani, head of the Drug Enforcement Administration, explained that a field team conducted the operation. This team intervened while the suspect attempted to sell the drugs to a user. Al-Jadani emphasized that the swift security response prevented the drugs from reaching young people in the community.
Al-Jadani highlighted that hashish ranks among the most commonly abused substances among youth. This situation underscores the critical need for ongoing efforts to combat drug abuse. He urged parents to closely monitor their children and enhance family oversight to mitigate the spread of this dangerous phenomenon.
The Aden Police remain dedicated to combating drug trafficking and protecting the community from its associated risks. These efforts align with the police’s commitment to ensuring security and stability in Aden and other regions of Yemen.
