A comprehensive water project has officially launched in Al-Wahd, located in the Tuban district of Lahij Governorate. This initiative includes an artesian well, a solar energy system, and a water tower. The project received funding from Kuwaiti philanthropist Abdullah Suleiman Al-Othman, with oversight from the Kuwaiti Watering Association and implementation by the Humanitarian Development Foundation.
Shawqi Al-Hamidi, the project coordinator at the Humanitarian Development Foundation, spoke to Saba News Agency about the project’s significance. He emphasized that it will alleviate pressure on the public water supply and provide continuous service to residents. Notably, the project will meet the water needs of Al-Wahd Hospital, one school, and hundreds of families living in the hospital neighborhood.
Al-Hamidi praised the Kuwaiti support for funding vital projects. He underscored the importance of such initiatives in enhancing infrastructure and improving services within the governorate. The collaboration between local organizations and international donors plays a crucial role in addressing community needs.
This new water project represents a significant step forward in ensuring sustainable access to clean water for the residents of Al-Wahd, ultimately contributing to better health and living conditions in the region.
