Today, a committee from the Ministry of Interior, led by Major General Abdul Majid Al-Amri, the Undersecretary for Civil Services, conducted an inspection of the Civil Status and Passport Services in the Hadhramaut Valley and Desert regions. The visit aimed to assess the efficiency and effectiveness of services provided to citizens.
During the visit, the committee, accompanied by the Deputy Chairman and Undersecretary of Civil Status, Brigadier Dr. Mohamed Baharoun, received a detailed briefing from Colonel Saeed Al-Khanbashi, the director of the local branch. The briefing focused on employee discipline and the overall workflow within the departments.
The committee evaluated the level of services offered to citizens and reviewed the achievements related to the smart electronic card project. They discussed both the successes and challenges faced in the operational processes, highlighting areas for improvement.
Major General Al-Amri emphasized the Ministry’s commitment to coordinating efforts among various sectors and police departments. He stressed the importance of enhancing services for citizens and improving the performance of the administrative staff, particularly in financial and administrative oversight.
Additionally, Major General Al-Amri inspected the operations of the Passport Services branch in Hadhramaut Valley and Desert. He engaged in discussions with Colonel Mosaad Bin Taleb, the branch director, regarding performance levels and the difficulties encountered. Al-Amri reiterated the Ministry’s dedication to finding necessary solutions to enhance performance and provide the best possible services to citizens.
The inspection reflects the Ministry of Interior’s ongoing efforts to improve civil services in Yemen, ensuring that citizens receive timely and effective assistance. The committee’s findings will likely inform future initiatives aimed at enhancing operational efficiency and service delivery.
