On Sunday, a child sustained injuries from shelling carried out by Houthi militias in residential neighborhoods of Taiz Governorate.
Local sources report that the Houthi militias targeted the Al-Dahi neighborhood in the western part of the city with a mortar shell. The attack injured a child named Akram Abdul Salam, causing shrapnel wounds to his body. Additionally, the shelling damaged several homes and properties belonging to local residents.
In the northern part of the city, the Taiz Military Command’s media center announced that Houthi forces launched attacks on army positions in the air defense area and surrounding residential areas along 40th Street.
Just last Monday, a child was killed, and three others from the same family were injured due to Houthi shelling on civilian homes in the Maqbanah district, located in the western part of Taiz.
Earlier this month, the Houthi militias committed a heinous act that resulted in the death and injury of 14 civilians in the same region. This attack involved a drone strike on a popular market within the district.
The Houthi militias persist in targeting civilians and their homes in Taiz and its rural areas. This ongoing violence represents a series of atrocities committed against the residents of the governorate over the years.
