Saudi Arabia and Yemen Sign Health Cooperation Agreement

Riyadh, Saudi Arabia – The Ministry of Public Health and Population of Yemen signed a cooperation agreement today with the Saudi Program for the Development and Reconstruction of Yemen. This agreement aims to enhance the ministry’s capacity to support and operate health facilities across Yemen.

Establishing a Sustainable Health Support Fund

The agreement outlines a collaborative effort to create a specialized fund dedicated to the operation of health facilities in Yemen. This fund will operate under sustainable financing mechanisms and will involve partnerships with both the public and private sectors, as well as regional and international organizations. Minister Dr. Qassem Baheebah signed the agreement on behalf of the Yemeni ministry, while Ambassador Mohammed Al-Jaber, the program’s supervisor, represented the Saudi program.
