During a meeting today in the temporary capital of Aden with the CEO of Hayel Saeed Anam Group, Hael Saeed, Minister Al-Omari reaffirmed the ministry’s commitment to supporting national capital. He emphasized the need to provide necessary facilities and address challenges facing the private sector in transportation, ports, and logistics services.
Discussion on Transportation and Logistics Sector
The meeting focused on the current state of the transportation sector and logistics related to industrial and investment activities. The two parties explored ways to enhance cooperation between the ministry and the private sector.
Minister Al-Omari stressed the importance of effective partnership between the ministry and the private sector. He encouraged listening to feedback and suggestions that could improve service levels. In response, the CEO of Hayel Saeed Anam Group presented the group’s experience and its institutional, administrative, and investment approach. He outlined the group’s role in supporting economic and industrial activities and contributing to the supply of essential goods and materials to the local market. He emphasized the importance of collaboration and coordination with government entities, particularly the Ministry of Transport, to facilitate the movement of materials and goods and improve logistics services related to industrial and commercial activities.
Field Visit to Grain Mills and Silos
Following the meeting, Minister Al-Omari and the CEO of Hayel Saeed Anam Group conducted a field visit to the group’s mills and grain silos. They observed the production process of wheat, transportation, and distribution mechanisms to markets. Additionally, they reviewed the handling and unloading operations from ships via the group’s marine conveyor system at Aden Port, as well as the warehouses and several facilities associated with the logistics process.
