Today, the Omani capital, Muscat, hosted a significant political consultation session between Yemen and Oman. The Yemeni delegation, led by Dr. Mansour Bajash, the Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs for Political Affairs, engaged in discussions with the Omani side, represented by Sheikh Khalifa Al-Harthy, the Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs for Political Affairs.
During the consultations, both sides explored the unique bilateral relations between the two brotherly nations. They discussed various strategies to enhance and develop these ties, aiming to serve the interests of both countries and their peoples. Additionally, the dialogue included several regional and international issues of mutual concern.
Both delegations expressed a strong commitment to holding these political consultations regularly. They recognized the vital role these sessions play in translating the aspirations of the Yemeni and Omani peoples into a robust and sustainable partnership. This collaboration aims to open new avenues for development and coordinate positions on shared issues, ultimately enhancing regional stability.
The Yemeni delegation included Dr. Khalid Bin Shateef, Yemen’s Ambassador to Muscat, along with Adel Sheikh, Deputy Head of the Minister of Foreign Affairs Office, and Alaa Afara, an advisor on Gulf and regional affairs. The Omani side featured Ahmed Al-Maskari, Head of the Gulf Cooperation Council and Regional Neighbors Department, along with several other Omani officials.
This meeting marks a significant step in fostering closer ties between Yemen and Oman, reflecting their shared commitment to regional cooperation and stability.
