Today, the Republic of Yemen participated in the Arab coordination meeting at the level of permanent representatives. This meeting focused on preparations for the 20th session of senior officials for the Arab-Chinese Cooperation Forum and the 9th session of the Arab-Chinese Strategic Political Dialogue. Both events are scheduled to take place on May 21, 2025, in the Kingdom of Morocco.
The meeting featured the participation of Dr. Ali Mousa, Yemen’s Acting Permanent Representative to the Arab League, along with representatives from the Arab League’s General Secretariat and member states. Attendees discussed the logistical arrangements for the upcoming sessions and the strategic political dialogue among senior officials. They also reviewed a draft of recommendations prepared by the Arab side, which will be issued during the sessions.
It is important to note that, according to the operational mechanisms of the Arab-Chinese Cooperation Forum, an annual meeting occurs at the level of senior officials. This meeting aims to monitor the implementation of activities and events related to the forum. The discussions align with decisions made during ministerial meetings and the forum’s plans and activities.
Yemen’s active participation in this coordination meeting underscores its commitment to fostering collaboration within the Arab-Chinese framework. As the date for the forum approaches, member states continue to work together to ensure a successful outcome, enhancing diplomatic ties and cooperation in various sectors.
