Yemen Participates in High-Level Political Forum on Sustainable Development

The Republic of Yemen actively participated today in the High-Level Political Forum on Sustainable Development for 2025. This significant event took place at the United Nations headquarters in New York City, under the auspices of the United Nations Economic and Social Council (ECOSOC). Yemen’s delegation was led by Ambassador Abdullah Al-Saadi, the country’s permanent representative to the UN.

Forum Objectives and Themes

Running from July 14 to July 23, the forum operates under the theme “Enhancing Sustainable, Inclusive, Science-Based Solutions to Achieve the 2030 Agenda and its Sustainable Development Goals, Leaving No One Behind.” The agenda includes a review of progress made in implementing five key Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs): good health and well-being, gender equality, decent work and economic growth, and partnerships for the goals.

Yemen’s Address at the Forum

During the high-level ministerial segment of the forum, Ambassador Al-Saadi will deliver Yemen’s speech. His address aims to highlight the country’s ongoing efforts and challenges in achieving sustainable development amidst current exceptional circumstances.
