Security Forces in Shabwa Capture Houthi Terror Cell

The Governor of Shabwa, Awad bin al-Wazir, announced today that security forces in the province apprehended a terrorist cell linked to the Iranian-backed Houthi militias. This cell consists of 13 members and was found with a truck loaded with a significant quantity of weapons, ammunition, explosives, and various types of shells, which were smuggled by sea to the coast of the Radhum district.

Governor Commends Security Achievement

During a meeting with Colonel Khamees al-Marzaki, the commander of the Rapid Intervention Forces, Governor bin al-Wazir praised this significant security achievement. He acknowledged the efforts made to uncover and apprehend the smuggling network involved. The governor directed authorities to expedite investigations and refer the suspects to the Public Prosecution for necessary legal action.

Emphasis on Security Vigilance

The governor stressed the importance of enhancing the vigilance of various security and military agencies in the province. He called for efforts to cut off the smuggling routes used by the Houthi militia. He also reminded attendees of the heinous war crimes committed by the Houthis against the people of Shabwa last week, underscoring their aggression and thirst for violence against the people of Yemen.
