ADEN, Yemen – The Yemeni Gas Company, known as Safer, has intensified its efforts to meet local market demands for gas as the holy month of Ramadan approaches. The company aims to ensure a stable supply of gas during this critical period.
In a recent statement, the company urged relevant authorities to collaborate with its representatives in liberated provinces. The goal is to enhance oversight and field inspections to address any violations related to gas supply, marketing, or sales. The company emphasized the importance of taking necessary legal actions against offenders to maintain market integrity.
The Yemeni Gas Company also responded to rumors circulating on social media and news outlets regarding illegal gas storage and trafficking. The company clarified that it distributes household gas produced from Safer according to established mechanisms. These mechanisms ensure equitable distribution across the country, taking into account population density and urgent displacement conditions.
The company highlighted that the government and local authorities actively combat gas monopolization and black market sales. While the company serves as a governmental service facility, it does not possess enforcement authority. Instead, it focuses on fulfilling its role in providing essential services to the community.
Furthermore, the company called on relevant authorities to work alongside its representatives to monitor transportation routes, border crossings, and coastal areas. This initiative aims to verify the legality of gas transportation and possession, ensuring compliance with regulations that affect local market stability.
As Ramadan approaches, the Yemeni Gas Company remains committed to ensuring that the local market remains well-supplied with gas, thereby supporting the needs of the community during this important time.
