Yemen condemns Israeli PM’s remarks on the Philadelphia Corridor, calling them unacceptable.

Yemen Condemns Israeli Government's Statements on Philadelphia Corridor

In a firm stance against recent comments made by the head of the Israeli government regarding the Philadelphia Corridor, the Republic of Yemen has expressed its strong condemnation. These statements, which included claims justifying Israel’s ongoing violations of international laws and norms, have sparked significant controversy.

Solidarity with Egypt

The Yemeni Foreign Ministry, in a statement received by the Yemeni News Agency (SABA), reaffirmed Yemen’s full support and solidarity with the Arab Republic of Egypt against these provocative remarks. Yemen also categorically rejects the Israeli military presence in the Philadelphia Corridor and the Rafah Crossing, standing firmly with Egypt in this matter.

Renewed Support for Palestinian Peace Efforts

Moreover, the statement reiterates Yemen’s unwavering support for Egyptian efforts aimed at achieving a ceasefire and ending the suffering of the Palestinian people. It calls on the international community, and specifically the United Nations Security Council, to take responsibility and fulfill the aspirations of the Palestinian people for peace, a dignified life, and the establishment of their independent state with East Jerusalem as its capital.

This condemnation from Yemen underscores the ongoing tensions in the region and the broader international calls for adherence to international laws and the pursuit of peace in conflict zones. The Republic of Yemen’s stance highlights the importance of solidarity among nations in addressing violations of international norms and in the collective pursuit of peace and security in the Middle East.
