Three Civilians Injured in Houthi Shelling in Taiz

On Tuesday, three civilians sustained injuries when a shell fired by the Iranian-backed Houthi militia struck a residential neighborhood in Taiz city.

Details of the Attack

Local sources reported to September Net that the Houthi militia launched a mortar attack early in the morning, targeting the Block 4 area in the Al-Mudhaffar district. One of the shells landed near a water tank in the neighborhood, where several civilians were present. The explosion resulted in injuries to three civilians, who were subsequently transported to Al-Thawra Hospital for medical treatment.

Previous Incidents of Violence

This incident follows a series of attacks by the Houthi militia. On Monday, they used drone strikes to target residential areas near the former Central Bank, located close to the eastern entrance of the city.

Additionally, just a day prior, the Houthis attacked a gathering of civilians in a popular market in the Al-Maqbana district, resulting in the deaths of six civilians and injuries to eight others.
