Yemen Gas Company Increases Supply to Aden and Taiz

The Yemen Gas Company has announced plans to supply the governorates of Aden and Taiz with an additional 140 gas trailers during the first week of March. This increase surpasses the scheduled allocation for both governorates by 72 trailers. The initiative aims to alleviate the ongoing gas shortages affecting households in these regions.
Increased Weekly Allocation for Aden
Mohsen bin Waheit, the company’s executive director, stated in an interview with the Yemeni News Agency (Saba) that the weekly gas allocation for Aden has risen from 32 trailers to 65. This adjustment represents an increase of 33 trailers. The company has prioritized this change to better meet the needs of residents in the area.
Significant Supply Boost for Taiz
During the same period, the company dispatched 75 gas trailers to Taiz, which is 39 trailers more than its usual weekly allocation of 36. This substantial increase aims to ensure that citizens in Taiz have adequate access to gas supplies.
Call for Enhanced Oversight
Bin Waheit urged security and military agencies, along with local authorities, to strengthen their oversight of domestic gas distribution. He emphasized the importance of ensuring that gas reaches deserving citizens while holding accountable those who manipulate the supply for personal gain. This call to action seeks to protect the livelihoods and stability of the communities in both governorates.
The Yemen Gas Company’s proactive measures reflect its commitment to addressing the gas crisis in Aden and Taiz. By increasing supply and urging local authorities to enforce regulations, the company aims to improve the quality of life for residents and ensure fair access to essential resources.
