The United States, France, and the United Kingdom have condemned the recent attacks by Iranian-backed Houthi militias against the residents of the village of “Hanaka Al-Masoud” in Qifa, Al-Bayda Governorate. These assaults have resulted in the deaths of numerous civilians and detainees, alongside the looting and destruction of homes and property.
In a press release, the U.S. Embassy expressed strong condemnation of the Houthi attacks targeting innocent civilians in Al-Bayda. The embassy emphasized that the killings, injuries, and unlawful arrests perpetrated by the Houthi terrorists deprive the Yemeni people of peace and a bright future.
Similarly, the British Embassy in Yemen issued a statement denouncing the horrific attacks carried out by the Houthi militias against innocent civilians in Al-Bayda. The embassy called for an immediate halt to these assaults, including the ongoing arbitrary arrests of civilians.
The French Embassy in Yemen also expressed its strong disapproval of the recent Houthi attacks on civilians in the village of Hanaka Al-Masoud. The embassy highlighted the arbitrary detentions that have occurred in recent weeks, asserting that such crimes against the Yemeni people are unacceptable. The French officials stated that Yemenis deserve to live in peace and security.
The collective condemnation from the United States, France, and the United Kingdom underscores the urgent need for accountability regarding the Houthi militias’ actions. As the international community calls for an end to violence, the hope remains for a peaceful resolution that ensures the safety and dignity of the Yemeni people.
