Sudanese Armed Forces Report Strong Readiness Against Rebellion
Sudan’s military is in peak condition, according to Deputy Chief of Staff Major General Abdulkhair Abdullah Nasser. He emphasized that the armed forces are preparing to “eliminate the remaining rebellion,” referring to ongoing clashes with the Rapid Support Forces (RSF) since the outbreak of conflict in April 2023.
Strong Coordination Among Armed Forces
In a statement released by the Sudanese military, Nasser highlighted significant coordination between the armed forces and their supporting units. He reassured the public that all forces operate under the army’s command and will integrate fully into its structure. Furthermore, he urged citizens to disregard rumors, labeling them as having a “clear objective.”
Recognition of Victories in Kordofan and Blue Nile
During the inauguration of new facilities for the Third Infantry Division in Shendi, Nasser acknowledged recent victories in the Kordofan and Blue Nile regions. He praised the Third Division’s role in what he termed the “War of Dignity.”
Nasser also noted that the newly constructed facilities represent a vital enhancement for improving working conditions and providing health services for both military personnel and civilians.
A Humanitarian Crisis of Unprecedented Scale
Since April 2023, Sudan has faced devastating warfare between the army and the RSF. The United Nations has described this conflict as the largest humanitarian crisis in the world. Approximately 12 million people have been displaced, and half of the population struggles to access food.
