Subcommittee Awards Educational and Health Projects in Hadramout Valley

The Subcommittee for Tenders in Hadramout Valley, led by the Deputy Governor for Valley and Desert Affairs, Jamaan Barba, announced the approval of seven educational, health, and service projects today. These initiatives will benefit several districts in Hadramout Valley, with a total investment exceeding 634 million Yemeni Riyals.

Breakdown of Projects

The approved projects include significant educational and health infrastructure improvements:

  • School Construction: The committee allocated 339 million Riyals for the construction of nine classrooms and their facilities at Al-Bayan School in Sayoun. Additionally, they approved 124 million Riyals for six classrooms and their facilities at Al-Bayan Girls’ School in Al-Qarn.

  • Medical Supplies: The National Center for Cancer Treatment in Sayoun will receive chemical treatments valued at 124 million and 55 thousand Riyals.

  • School Furniture and Facilities: The projects also include the procurement of school furniture, aluminum partitions, and other supplies at a cost of 17 million and 421 Riyals.

  • Public Amenities: The committee approved 14 million and 80 thousand Riyals for public amenities at Al-Hawta Secondary School for Boys in Shibam. They also allocated 9 million and 538 thousand Riyals for the renovation of Tarim Secondary School for Girls and 5 million and 13 thousand Riyals for the rehabilitation of Al-Jamahir School in the Khunfar area of Amad.

Call for Timely Execution

Deputy Governor Jamaan Barba urged the implementing agencies to expedite the completion of these projects according to the prepared studies and technical designs. He emphasized the importance of ensuring that the beneficiary organizations are ready to utilize these new facilities.
