The Saudi Program for the Development and Reconstruction of Yemen has launched a new initiative aimed at stabilizing education in Socotra Island. This effort forms part of Saudi Arabia’s broader commitment to support the education sector in Yemen.
Thanks to this initiative, Socotra University has resumed its educational activities and reopened its doors. This achievement results from a collaborative effort with the Ministry of Higher Education and Scientific Research.
The Saudi Program for the Development and Reconstruction of Yemen actively supports education at various levels. The program has extended its assistance to 11 Yemeni provinces, including Taiz, Aden, Socotra, Al-Mahrah, Marib, Hadramaut, Hajjah, Lahij, Abyan, Shabwa, and Al-Dhale. Through the implementation of approximately 60 sustainable development projects and initiatives, the program aims to make a significant impact.
The educational projects and initiatives encompass support for both general and higher education, as well as vocational and technical training. These efforts aim to create a positive influence on the lives of individuals and local communities in Yemen. Ultimately, they contribute to comprehensive development and the construction of a bright and promising future for the country.
