The Saudi national football team claimed the title of the Gulf Arab Cup (Gulf 27) for the fourth time in its history. The team secured victory against the United Arab Emirates with a score of two goals to none in the final match held at the King Abdullah Sports City in Jeddah.
Saudi players Hamam Al-Hamami scored the first goal in the eleventh minute, followed closely by Firas Al-Buraikan, who netted the second goal in the thirteenth minute. This strong start allowed the “Green” team to conclude their campaign by lifting the championship trophy.
Following the match, an awards ceremony took place amidst a festive atmosphere, attended by 62,827 enthusiastic fans.
Saudi goalkeeper Mohammed Al-Owais received the award for Best Goalkeeper of the tournament. Additionally, striker Firas Al-Buraikan earned the title of Top Scorer, while national team player Adel Abbas was honored as the Best Young Player of the tournament.
