On Thursday, in the temporary capital of Aden, Prime Minister Bin Brek met with GCC Ambassador Sarhan Al-Munaiher. During this meeting, Al-Munaiher conveyed greetings from GCC Secretary-General Jasem Al-Budaiwi. He reaffirmed the council’s full support for the Prime Minister’s reform directives and the GCC’s steadfast position in aiding Yemen across various developmental, economic, and humanitarian aspects.

Partnership Opportunities and Priorities

The discussion also focused on the future partnership between Yemen and the GCC. Key priorities for the upcoming phase include activating the outcomes of the First National Energy Conference held in Aden. The Prime Minister noted the successes achieved in comprehensive reforms, which have led to improvements in the national currency’s exchange rate and a reduction in inflation.
