On Tuesday, Prime Minister Ahmed Awad bin Mubarak convened a meeting in the temporary capital of Aden with the leadership of the Ministry of Water and Environment. The meeting focused on discussing the current status of the water and environment sectors, as well as efforts to enhance performance and efficiency within the ministry’s ongoing and future projects.
Addressing Challenges in Water and Environmental Sectors
The meeting addressed significant challenges facing the water, environment, and sanitation sectors, primarily due to a lack of external funding. Participants explored solutions and proposals to overcome these obstacles. They emphasized the importance of adopting an integrated water resource management approach, protecting the environment, conserving natural resources, and implementing climate adaptation projects to mitigate natural disasters.
