On Wednesday, President Dr. Rashad Mohammed Alimi, head of the Presidential Leadership Council, held a meeting with the legal support team assisting the Council.
During the meeting, President Alimi listened to an overview presented by the team leader, Hamoud Al-Hattar, along with other legal team members. They discussed the team’s operational mechanisms and highlighted their achievements over the past months. The team has been tasked with various responsibilities under the power transfer announcement. Furthermore, they outlined their work plans and future activities as a legal advisory body to support the transitional phase.
President Alimi briefed the legal team on the current local developments. He emphasized the importance of coordinated efforts with various factions to strengthen political agreements against the Houthi militia, which is backed by the Iranian regime. The President also discussed the implementation of the economic rescue plan and the ongoing financial and administrative reforms. He stressed the need to activate oversight mechanisms, combat corruption, and promote principles of integrity, transparency, and governance. These efforts aim to meet the aspirations of all Yemenis in restoring state institutions and achieving lasting peace and stability.
The meeting also included the presence of Major General Saleh Al-Maqalih, the Director of the Office of the President of the Presidential Leadership Council.
This gathering marks a significant step towards enhancing legal frameworks and ensuring effective governance in Yemen.
