The National Coalition of Political Parties and Components has strongly condemned the recent terrorist bombing that targeted the convoy of Major General Hamdi Shukri, commander of the Second Brigade of the Giants Forces, in Aden. This attack resulted in numerous casualties and injuries among accompanying personnel and innocent civilians.
In an official statement, the coalition described the attack as a deliberate attempt to plunge Aden into chaos and violence. It directly threatens the city’s security and stability, as well as the integrity of the national military institution. The coalition emphasized that such criminal acts will not deter national forces from continuing their fight to restore the state and build unified, professional security and military institutions that adhere to the law.
The coalition urged for a restructuring of the security apparatus in Aden and liberated areas. This restructuring aims to unify security decisions, eliminate overlapping authorities, and integrate all military and security formations under the Ministries of Defense and Interior. Such measures will enhance the state’s authority and uphold the rule of law.
Additionally, the coalition expressed its full support for the leadership of the joint forces in their efforts to pursue terrorist elements, dismantle extremist strongholds, and cut off funding sources for terrorism. They emphasized the importance of preventing violence from being used to achieve political or factional goals.
The coalition praised the support provided by the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia in reorganizing the military and security systems, in coordination with legitimate leadership. This effort aligns with the decision to form a high military committee to unify forces under the state’s umbrella.
The coalition called for a swift investigation to identify the perpetrators and those behind the attack, insisting on holding them accountable without leniency. They stressed the need to prevent any entity from undermining Aden’s security or using weapons outside the state’s framework.
The coalition extended heartfelt condolences to the families of the victims and wished a speedy recovery to the injured. They reaffirmed that the blood of innocents will not be in vain, asserting that justice and fair retribution are the true guarantees for building a state governed by law and order.
