On Thursday evening, the National Cancer Control Foundation in Aden organized a charity bazaar aimed at supporting cancer survivors. This event took place in the temporary capital of Aden and reflects the foundation’s ongoing commitment to providing care and support for cancer patients and survivors.
The charity bazaar coincided with the tenth Gulf Week for Cancer Awareness, which ran from February 1 to February 7. Additionally, it aligned with World Cancer Day, celebrated annually on February 4. These events highlight the importance of cancer awareness and the need for continuous support for those affected by the disease.
The primary goal of the charity bazaar was to empower cancer survivors economically. By showcasing and selling their handcrafted products, the survivors not only gained financial independence but also enhanced their roles within the community. This initiative aims to provide psychological and social support, fostering a sense of belonging and purpose among the participants.
The National Cancer Control Foundation continues to play a vital role in advocating for cancer awareness and supporting survivors in their journey towards recovery and reintegration into society.
