The World Muslim League has strongly condemned the ongoing aggression by the Houthi militia against civilians and civilian infrastructure in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia. The militia’s repeated attacks on the holy sites in Mecca and Medina, as well as its targeting of the capital Riyadh and cities such as Abha, Khamis Mushait, Jazan, Najran, Taif, and Yanbu, have raised significant concerns. Additionally, the militia continues to threaten Saudi vessels in the southern Red Sea and the Bab el-Mandeb Strait.
In a statement issued by the League’s General Secretariat, Secretary-General Dr. Mohammed Al-Issa, who also serves as the President of the Muslim Scholars Association, reiterated the condemnation of these terrorist acts. He emphasized that such actions violate religious values and international humanitarian laws. The statement highlighted the militia’s criminal approach and its rejection of all efforts aimed at achieving a comprehensive peaceful and political solution, which would restore order according to the constitutional tools that the Houthi militia has overturned.
The League, representing its global assemblies, councils, and the Islamic communities under its umbrella, expressed full solidarity with the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia. It supports all measures taken to deter aggressors and ensure the safety of its citizens and residents. The League praised Saudi Arabia’s brotherly role in supporting the Yemeni people and their legitimate leadership in restoring the state and its constitutional institutions, asserting sovereignty over its entire territory, and defeating the Houthi coup that has brought death and destruction to Yemen and its people.
