Government Meeting Focuses on Economic Recovery Plan

A comprehensive meeting took place today in Aden, the temporary capital, led by Minister of Transport Dr. Abdul Salam Hamid. The discussion centered on the government’s implementation of the Economic Recovery Plan for 2025-2026 and the urgent priorities for the next 100 days.

The meeting included key officials such as Captain Ali Al-Sabhi, the Undersecretary for Maritime Affairs and Ports; Dr. Khadr Al-Qafish, the Undersecretary for Financial and Administrative Affairs; Engineer Tarek Abdu, the Undersecretary for Air Transport; Captain Saleh Bin Naheed, the President of the General Authority for Civil Aviation and Meteorology; and Engineer Salem Basmeer, the CEO of the Arab Sea Ports Corporation. They reviewed the commitment of various agencies, institutions, and companies to prepare annual budgets, final accounts, and achievement reports.

Review of Past Achievements

Participants assessed the accomplishments of the ministry’s affiliated agencies and institutions over the past year. They discussed developmental plans aimed at enhancing infrastructure, institutional building, and improving the capabilities and performance of all entities involved.

Emphasis on Local Resource Development

Minister Hamid emphasized the need for everyone to focus on harnessing and developing local resources for the country’s benefit. He highlighted the importance of coordination among the ministry’s agencies and institutions, urging a collaborative spirit to achieve shared goals.
