Ministry of Interior Enhances Readiness for Weather Challenges

The Deputy Minister of Interior for Civil Services, Major General Abdul Majid Al-Amiri, has directed the head of the Civil Defense Authority to elevate the level of preparedness in the authority’s branches across liberated provinces. This initiative aims to implement necessary precautionary measures to address the potential impacts and damages from the expected low-pressure system and climate fluctuations, ensuring the safety of citizens and their properties.

Urgent Preparedness Measures

Al-Amiri emphasized the importance of disseminating precautionary procedures across Civil Defense branches. He called for heightened readiness to respond to any emergencies that may arise from the low-pressure system, particularly as weather forecasts indicate its effects will extend from several eastern provinces to most liberated areas.

Risk Mitigation and Coordination

The Deputy Minister highlighted the need for actions that minimize potential risks and enhance the readiness of Civil Defense teams for rapid response to reports and incidents related to weather changes. He also stressed the importance of ongoing coordination with local authorities and relevant entities to ensure integrated efforts and swift intervention when necessary.

Regular Reporting and Evaluation

Additionally, Al-Amiri instructed the submission of regular reports to the sector leadership detailing the level of preparedness and the measures taken. This will aid in monitoring the implementation of precautionary measures and evaluating readiness to face any emerging weather developments.

These directives form part of the precautionary actions taken by the Ministry of Interior to bolster emergency preparedness and mitigate risks that could threaten the safety of citizens and their properties due to the anticipated low-pressure system and climate fluctuations.
