The National Center for Health Education and Population Media, in collaboration with UNICEF, has launched a series of training courses for health volunteers in awareness clubs. This initiative, titled “Vaccination is Life,” takes place in the Al-Musaymir district of Lahij Governorate.
A total of 130 volunteers will participate in these three-day courses. The primary goal is to enhance their ability to convey health awareness messages effectively. The training aims to change harmful behaviors and promote healthy practices, especially in remote areas lacking adequate health services. A significant focus will be placed on the importance of vaccination in preventing epidemics.
During the launch event, Dr. Sadiq Al-Sayyadi, Deputy Director of the National Center for Health Education, emphasized the critical role of these training programs. He stated that they empower volunteers to perform their educational roles efficiently. Dr. Al-Sayyadi encouraged participants to utilize the workshop outcomes to spread health messages throughout the community.
Dr. Al-Sayyadi expressed gratitude for the support provided by the Ministry of Health and UNICEF. He noted that such initiatives have significantly improved volunteer performance and contributed to raising health awareness in the district and the governorate.
Participants expressed their determination to apply what they learned in the field. They reaffirmed their commitment to promoting health awareness among community members.
This initiative marks a significant step toward enhancing public health education and ensuring that vital health information reaches those who need it most.
