In a significant meeting held today in Aden, Minister of Water and Environment Engineer Tawfiq Al-Sharjabi engaged with a delegation from the Women’s Summit. The delegation, led by Summit Coordinator and President of the Human Security Foundation, Maha Awad, included Coordination Committee member Afra Hariri. The discussions focused on enhancing cooperation in water, environmental issues, and climate change, while also emphasizing women’s participation in development and environmental efforts.
During the meeting, both parties reviewed potential collaboration between the ministry and the Women’s Summit. They aimed to implement awareness programs and community initiatives that highlight the importance of conserving water resources and protecting the environment. Additionally, they discussed creating a joint framework for cooperation on climate change, promoting climate justice principles, and coordinating related efforts and initiatives.
